Terms of Service

By using www.ahanazip.com or api.ahanazip.com ("the Service"), you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AhanaZip services. By accessing the service, creating an account, or using the API, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

AhanaZip provides AI-native lossless file compression via a REST API, Python SDK, and CLI. The Service is currently in pre-launch / early access. Features, pricing, and API endpoints may change before general availability.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to compress, store, or transmit unlawful content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract model weights from the API
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or authentication mechanisms
• Resell or sublicense API access without a written agreement with AhanaZip
• Submit files containing malware, exploits, or decompression bombs designed to harm our systems
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service or other users' access

4. Free tier and early access

The free tier provides 5 API requests per day with files up to 50 MB. Early access members on the waitlist will receive 90 days of Pro access at no charge upon launch. AhanaZip reserves the right to modify or discontinue the free tier at any time with 30 days' notice to registered users.

5. Intellectual property

AhanaZip, the AhanaZip name and logo, the .aarm container format, and the Fractal Entropy Tokenizer algorithm are the intellectual property of AhanaZip, Inc. The core compression algorithm is patent pending (USPTO). Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or reverse engineering is prohibited.

Your files remain your property. We claim no ownership over files you submit to the API for compression or decompression.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AHANAZIP DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

While AhanaZip implements SHA-256 integrity verification on all compressed files, you are responsible for maintaining independent backups of critical data.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AHANAZIP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING DATA LOSS, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL AHANAZIP'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For EU/EEA consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply in addition to these Terms and cannot be contracted out of.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Online dispute resolution (EU)

The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for consumer disputes: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. AhanaZip is not obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board but will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes directly.
